After meeting and exceeding my 2023 Hive Power goal of 17,500 Hive Power a couple months ago, I set a new goal: 20,000 Hive Power. Perhaps I was not aggressive enough. I will see in the next two months whether to increase it to 25K HP.
How did I accomplish this? Good seeds planted bore fruit.
One action that I have participated in for the last six months of 2023, continuing my three year monthly participation is the Hive Power Up Day. If you want to participate, just visit @traciyork's official post It's here! Hive Power Up Day for July 1st, 2023. Prizes and a cool badge are available.
So far, powering up has been producing good results in helping my account grow. The power up amount may not be huge each month, but consistency certainly rewards.

My activity today is continuing my actionable and achievable small objectives for 2023 by first powering up my account for July. With this July 1st power up, I'm closer to my goal of 20,000 Hive Power.

Even though we are still experiencing slow growth in this bear market, I am holding steady with my Token and liquid rewards.
I do this by first taking a bit of advice from @brofund in its recent article that recommends All you have to do is hold through this Bear.
Another way I'm accomplishig my steady increase is by investing my Hive Power that earns liquid passive income that can be utilized for the next month's power up.
Some of the projects I invest in are Community based that yield daily, weekly, or monthly liquid Hive. For example:
delegate hive power and tokens to Communities for their projects;
lease hive power to Hive members;
increase investment in liquidity pools with liquid payouts;
participate in @combination for the charity it manages.

As a long-term investor, one approach I had in mind last year was to continue to increase my account in Hive power. Powering up your Hive account helps in the following ways:
- Greater voting power on content blogs;
- More curation rewards when you vote on other bloggers' posts;
- More resource credits to perform transactions on the Hive Blockchain.
