Last month, I stated that "April showers bring May flowers". This was certainly true for me as I met and exceeded in May my 2023 Hive Power goal of 17,500 Hive Power.
How did I accomplish this? Good seeds planted in April. This is true of planning and securing your future in order to bear good fruit.
One action that I have participated in for the last four months of 2023, continuing my three year monthly participation is the Hive Power Up Day. If you want to participate, just visit @traciyork's official It's here! Hive Power Up Day for June 1st, 2023. Prizes and a cool badge are available.
So far, it has been producing good results in helping my account grow. It may not be a huge amount of liquid each month, but consistency certainly rewarded me.
Also, investing my Hive Power brings in liquid passive income that I can utilize for the next month's power up. Some of the projects I invest in are Community based that yield daily, weekly, or monthly liquid Hive. For example:
- delegate to Communities for their projects;
- lease hive power to Hive members;
- increase investment in liquidity pools with liquid payouts;
- participate in @combination for the charity it manages.
- delegate hive power and leo tokens to LeoFinance Community.
- BroFUND's LEGION PROJECT: Monthly dividends expected today.

Below is a visual of my Hive account value. In May, my Hive Power increased 2,500.000. My HBD rewards helped fuel the spike as I converted into liquid. As you can see, I peaked in mid May until the 31st. My total activity for May was 2,598.372 increase in Hive Power.
My activity today is continuing my actionable and achievable small objectives for 2023 by first powering up my account for June. With this June 1st power up, I have surpassed my goal of 17,500 Hive Power.

As a long-term investor, one approach I had in mind last year was to increase my holdings in tokens as well as other Hive power. Powering up your Hive account helps in the following ways:
