Professional work outside the home or in and of the home, is not work, if it does not require effort. Work may be at times easy, but always requires one's effort. Times like this must be a new challenge for many in the education field. They say that the best approach to finding the best method of effective teaching in unique situations should be: Teaching is not about the teacher... it is about the student. It is not about the teacher's convenience but that of the child. It is child-centered, not teacher-centered. I believe that teaching is the noblest of professions. I admire you for choosing that profession. It requires a lot of self-giving. The life skills which children need to learn to prepare them for adulthood will be acquired in the home as well as in the classroom setting. I think that adapting successfully to change is a life skill. The best way to teach this is by example. How are parents and teachers adapting to the change from routine methods of teaching in the classroom? They say that one of the keys to success is learning to go through the change process as quick as possible. It has been several weeks now that kids are not in the classroom. For sure, parents and teachers hope with confidence that the children, too, are successfully adapting to the change so that the children continue to learn even with non-routine teaching methods.
