I personally feel that this is already a nice growth for this new community.

I would like to have an engagement question for members to contribute their ideas of how Dolphin Assemble Community can make a positive impact to the Hive platform in future.

You do not need to make a post but simply make a comment in this post.

Members of Dolphin Assemble Community that make a comment will get a small tip of 0.2 Hive from me for contributing your ideas.

Currently, the members of this community are:

@nickyhavey @abitcoinskeptic @brittandjosie @crypto.piotr @culgin
@hivetrending @jrvacation @ervin-lemark @knowhow92 @russia-btc

Let’s see whether this engagement question is a good activity to have for our community.

I can only say what I already am doing right now:

  • searching for the interesting content (from the community view) and curating it throughout @tipu initiative
  • upvoting posts that I personally find interesting with full upvote; it's not much yet way better than a 10% vote
  • reblogging some posts
  • keeping alive community areas like geocaching, running, mountains, @actifit, ...

There are more ways to be active, of course :)

It always feel great to be curated by the tipu curators. It motivates content creators like us on the platform. Your willingness to support interesting content is also a great attitude for others to learn from. Thank you for making this comment and I have already sent you a tip of 0.2 hive as a token of appreciation for this comment.

You are welcome & thank you very much :)

I've been thinking of the same issue recently, and was considering some sort of help grow a fish initiative. The purpose is to help those who are here to grow in the long term and don't get in the whale and curation guilds radar.

Each month or every fortnight, a handful of accounts, say 10 would be selected and a curation trail will upvote them. Those who follow the trail will be encouraged to set their upvote to say 10c or whatever they can afford so it doesn't drain their VP. The trail itself will vote maximum 10 x 100% each day.

There will of course be strict criterias on selecting the accounts, eg quality and engagement is key, not power down or withdraw funds are others.

Those selected in each cohort will be closely monitored, perhaps even daily so if they start to go rouge for the upvotes, or get curated or whale support then the trail won't vote.

The idea is that during each cohort, the account will get better rewards for their quality work, and hopefully more recognition.

This idea isn't innovative and there are probably people doing it already, just that I'm not aware

I did think of something like this too. As this community is still new, it can be a nice future plan unless there are many dolphins who are ready to do it. The problem with some of the support we see on the platform on steem or even on Hive, upvotes may come to many who may not have quality posts. Currently, most of the support may come from OCD or some big accounts but if we can gather smaller accounts like those of dolphins, I think there will be more opportunities for new members to get motivated. Not sure how many will be interested. Generally, 10 cent upvote for a basic dolphin is like 100% upvote actually so it is going to be too draining unless they have bigger HP. The calculation should be comfortable. If the trail has many accounts that can upvote about 2 cents each, it does not drain so much but we need more people to join. This can be a nice future plan. I think your plan needs a place to make it into a reality in future. Would you like to be a moderator of this new community. Currently, I have @culgin who may be interested in your idea too. He is a very positive and helpful guy. Make this a future plan and we do not want to rush into it as we need to make friends first. A strong community can make things happen. I guess the previous Dolphin Council had rushed into doing things before building their own base first.

Following trail is all about affordability, and hopefully if it can get support from some whales, like 10x1% per day would be negligible to them but mean a lot to the accounts. I would make the curation upvote significant enough for the accounts to motive them to maintain consistent quality as adding 2c makes no impact in the long run.

The problem I see with a lot of accounts is they churn out meh quality each day for a few cents, and some get lucky and get a whale vote or curated. Then there are others who churn out good/decent quality and aren't rewarded much more than the meh quality authors. It's the latter group that I'm interested in supporting.

Actually, the more I write about this, the more plausible it seems... I might start doing something for a change 🤗

Talking more about it is often the start of a project. Before we can convince others, we must first feel the conviction and fire for it. Thanks for your comment and I have given a little tip to your wallet for the contribution of your ideas. Your comment probably will be read by a couple of dolphins. :)

Wow! Thank you! Appreciate it!

Tagging @livinguktaiwan maybe you can post your rambles part 2 here for ideas sharing :)

I was wondering what you meant so I managed to go over to @livinguktaiwan's blog to see her post. https://peakd.com/hive-174578/@livinguktaiwan/sunday-rambles

I guess we may go through this stage when we are around for a couple of years.

She is certainly welcome to share her ideas here and she can even promote her ideas to see whether our collective effort can change what steem platform was missing.

As I mentioned before, this community is created out of inspiration and I did not really have big plans to start with.

Maybe a ripple effect that can start from here to affect the bigger pool later on.

Ideas are how we can make things better.

Thanks for the tag @jrvacation and the push for part 2 otherwise procrastination would have got the better of me 😅
