I celebrated my 30th birthday yesterday and it was indeed very fun! My mama, papa and I prepared some stuff to share as a simple celebration. My very close friends from high school also celebrated it with me, so we were able to spend time together on my special day.
In the morning, mama and I started with the preparation while papa was running some errands outside. Well, friends were coming over for dinner (since my birthday is a work day), but we wanted to get everything ready as soon as we can so we still have time to relax and freshen up. :)
Here are the foods we prepared yesterday. ^^
This is mama's own version of carbonara. I love pasta dishes, so I was really happy when mama decided on making one for my birthday. It was so delicious and everyone really enjoyed it!
Bicol Express was last night's best seller! haha Most of my friends really like mama's humba, but recently, she's practicing making Bicol Express. She can't test-taste it since she doesn't like spicy food at all, so I usually test-taste for her. My friends who were with us last night also love spicy foods, so they really enjoyed having mama's version of Bicol Express for the first time! :)
Another fave of mine, Chicken Cordon Bleu!!! <3 I really like the combination of chicken, ham and cheese. We don't have this often though since it's quite a hassle to prepare. However, since it's a special day, mama and papa cooked this as well.
I don't really do the cooking at home, but I enjoy helping in the preparation like peeling, slicing, preparing various ingredients and stuff. Mama doesn't like these, so it's a nice combination for both of us. haha
We bought this black forest cake from Red Ribbon to share with everyone. I love dark chocolate and cherries, so this is perfect for me. <3
Well, my friends didn't come here empty-handed. They also brought more food to share with everyone and here they are~!! ^^
My best friend bought me another black forest cake, but this time, it's from Goldilocks! Ahhh~ more chocolate and cherries! <3 He said, "Oh!! It's a black forest party" when he saw the cake we also prepared. lol
My bff bought some pizza~!!! <3 They're Hawaiian pizza and Pepperoni pizza from Alberto's! Alberto's is one of the famous local pizza places in my area and it's our favorite. <3

I couldn't take a picture with my best friend and my baby Navee, Nyunyu and Arashi last night, but I'm truly grateful to celebrate my special day with special people. We had a lot of food!!! Because of that, we made them take home some food. We also shared some food with our close neighbors. It was indeed a fun night.
I originally just planned to have dinner with my mama and papa, but these fellows invited themselves as always to celebrate with me. haha I just love these guys so much! ^^
