Food Photo Collection by @tegoshei (February Edition)

in Foodies Bee Hive3 years ago

Hello March!
It's the first day of the month, so it's about time for me to share my Food Photo Collection for the month of February. I decided to make it a monthly thing to share some of the food we prepare at home. If you're interested to see the January Edition, CHECK THIS OUT.

Well, I wanted to include the we prepared for my mama's birthday last February 6, but it wouldn't be that nice to recycle my pictures. So, in addition to what I'm gonna share this time... you can also CHECK THIS POST.

Before we start with the main event, (lol) I'd like to say that all these pictures were taken using my smartphone, Samsung A50s. They're unedited, so yeah... I hope you enjoy them!

This is called "Pork Afritada". It's basically a pork stew with slices of pork, carrots, potatoes, bell pepper and green peas. Mama usually use either tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce in cooking this. It has a blend of saltiness, sweetness and a tiny bit of spiciness especially when mama put some tabasco on it. I like it spicy, but mama can't eat spicy food... so, yeah. xD

On days that mama and papa are not very motivated to cook, we just have some fried stuff. We have some fried fish and hotdogs here. Not very aesthetic, right? haha These are actually some leftovers because I sometimes forget to take some pictures. These are among the common everyday food we have at home. :)

In Cebu, we call this chicken adobao with chicken liver. Perhaps it's another version of chicken adobo but with more sauce. I'm not really sure what other places in the Philippines call it. It's actually usually cooked without chicken liver, but when there is liver, the taste becomes more powerful. It becomes fuller and tastier... the sauce becomes thicker as well. ^^ Yummy~

This is called "Linat-ang Baboy" in Cebu. In other parts of the country, we call it "Nilagang Baboy". This is basically pork soup made by boiling some pork together with some corn, squash, taro, string beans, pepper, cabbage, etc. This is especially perfect to eat when it's rainy or the weather is cold. However, papa cooked this on a hot day. haha I'm not complaining, though. :P This is one of my papa's specialty!

Yesterday, February 28... Mama and papa didn't feel like cooking as well. haha So, they ordered fried chicken and peach mango pie from Jollibee. The very well-known crispylicious and juicylicious fried chicken in the Philippines. Haha I wanted to have Aloha burger, though... but they already ordered this when I got up. lol Also, I couldn't take a picture of the peach mango pie because I was too excited to eat it. haha

Well, that's about it for the month of February. It's nice to share them here since they're basically my parents' cooking that I'm so proud of. I don't really feel that excited to eat out because my parents' food are already very delish. Though, there are some stuff that they haven't tried making, yet.

Soon, I'll be starting with the March edition. I wonder what kinds of food we'll have. I'll try taking pictures as much as I can because sometimes I'm so hungry to even bother. haha Other times, we just have the usual canned foods or fried eggs and stuff... but will try to include them as well. Please look forward for the next update!

Thanks a lot for checking this out! See you again! (^_^)/
