Hello there Foodies~!!! It's the second to the last day of this month and you know what it means... insert drum roll here... it's time for my Food Photo Collection for the month of April~!!!

I have shared a lot of various dishes in my MARCH POST and all of them were the food we had at home except those prepared on my birthday. Well, they're basically food that I decided to photograph and share with you here.

As for this month, April, we also celebrated my father's birthday and I have shared several dishes we prepared on that day, so I won't be sharing them here anymore. If you wish to see them, you can check this post.

I'll be sharing new pictures of food that I haven't shared before, so are you ready? Let's get to it~!!!! (^_^)

This is PAKSIW NA PATA. Pata is basically pork legs and it is boiled in water and mixed with soy sauce, dried banana blossoms and other ingredients. I remember papa requesting mama to cook it. I think it was mama's first time cooking this dish but it was actually pretty good. Well, mama is great at making paksiw for some leftover lechon or other ingredients, but it's her first time using pork legs. It was delicious, though. <3 And papa was truly delighted.

It's PORK STEAK! Well, I personally prefer beef to pork, but in my family, we rarely have beef dishes. Aside from the fact that beef is pricier, mama doesn't like beef. She said she dislikes the smell of beef. It's too much for her. She does cook us beef dishes at times but these are rare cases. haha Anyway, I enjoyed this pork steak and having white onion in it made it more flavorful. I just hope mama would cook us beef steak someday. haha

This is one of mama's experimental dishes. She calls it CREAMY PORK STEW. This is pork stew but she used coconut milk in cooking it. It was a bit sweet but it blended very well with the other spices and condiments she placed. If I get the chance, I'd like to share a recipe on this when mama decides to cook this again. I believe it was also her first time cooking it, so usually, she doesn't want me to record it. hahaha WHen she makes it her own, I'm surely sharing it here, too.

It's JOLLY SPAGHETTI and JOLLY BURGER STEAK~!!! There was a time this month when we didn't feel like cooking and we just want to have some food from JOLLIBEE delivered. Since this was for lunch and dinner, we decided to have their spaghetti and burger steak family meal. It's good for four to six people, but since there were only three of us in the family, we had them both for lunch and dinner. It was a good deal. haha

One of our family friends gave us some saba banana and sweet potatoes. Since we got quite a lot, we made it into fried banana and sweet potato fries. We were also able to give some to our neighbors that time. Both the banana and sweet potato were so yummy. We were able to snack on them while watching some anime or movies on Netflix. haha Thanks to the sponsor of these delicious treats. <3

This is GINISANG MUNGGO with PORK. We had some leftover small slices of pork in the fridge and mama was thinking on what to cook. We didn't want to eat very oily stuff that day, so we decided on something with veggies. So, we got some mung beans from our store and bought some veggies from our neighbor's store. Yes, it's so convenient to have neighbors who are selling veggies.. haha The tem ginisa means to saute in English. This dish is really yummy and I especially like the combination of mung beans, squash and moringa leaves. <3 Yummy~!!!

UTAN BISAYA is a vegetable dish popular in the central and southern part of the Philippines. We just boil various vegetables together like taro, squash, okra, moringa leaves among others. People usually put some pork or maybe fish in it. However, the one we prepared above is just plain veggies. It's nice to eat healthy dishes sometimes. haha

This one here is called BIKO. It's Filipino rice cake made from sticky rice, coconut milk and brown sugar. Mama wanted to try experimenting on it since she's not really used to eating it. Well, the first try wasn't that bad but it was too sweet, so we decided to put some cheese on it to kill some of the sweetness. Cheese really does wonders! haha

And there you have it. There were other dishes that we've shared this month that aren't on this list because I forgot to take pictures of them, but I'll try to share more on the next edition. Please do look forward to next month's collection as well.

Which among the dishes above caught your eye and your stomach? Feel free to comment below. Thanks a bunch for checking this post out! Have a great one and see you again soon for more food-related content! (^^,)/
