Yesterday, i made chicken tomato gravy.
Ingredients:
1 chopped onion
2/3 Chicken breast.
Spices as per your taste (chilli powder, garam masala, paprika powder etc)
Poppy seeds & Oregano
1 table spoon of ginger garlic paste
Chopped Tomatoes [i bought an italian chopped tomatoes 300g box]
Chopped Coriander leaves.
Lets cook:
- First, Cut the breast into small pieces and then marinate with paprika powder (you can use any spice of your choice).
- leave it marinate properly.
- Now on medium heat, put the pan on the stove. Add some olive oil and few poppy seeds and oregano.
- When the seeds start popping, add the chopped onions.
- Keep stirring the onions, till it turns light brownish.
- Add the ginger garlic paste, and mix it well. Let the onions absorb it.
- Add all the spices as per your taste. Mix it well and let the onions absorb the spices.
- Add the chopped tomato and mix it well for few minutes
- Then add the chicken and mix it well.
- Add salt as per your taste.
- I first cooked it on high flame for 5 minutes.
- I added half spoon of garam masala and mix it.
- Then turn the flame to medium and cook it for 15 more minutes or till the chicken is done.
- Add the chopped coriander, mix it and cook it for a minute or two.
- Dish is ready to serve. You can have it with bread, Chappati, Nan or plain rice.
The dish came out well and it was not that spicy.
I had the dish with bread :-)
