I know what you're thinking just a boring old grilled cheese sandwhich. But here's how to give your next grilled cheese a special zing! When I went to Disney in 2019 I had a grilled cheese sandwich that I loved! When I came home I decided to make my own version of it.

My Disney Trip

Starting Guide

Level: Beginner

Ingredients

  • 2 Slices of sourdough bread
  • Butter or mayonnaise (I prefer mayonnaise to give it that zing!)
  • Havarti cheese or whatever cheese you want
  • 4-5 Leaves of Basil

Instructions

  • Cover sourdough slice with butter or mayonnaise. Butter will give it a smooth, mellow flavor as the mayonnaise will give it a little kick.
  • Place sourdough slice onto a pan over medium heat. Layer on your cheese and add chopped basil. Cover basil with a slice of cheese and add on the second sour dough slice.
  • Cook for about 2 or 3 minutes on each side until golden brown

Enjoy and let me know in the comments if you use butter or mayonnaise. Maybe even something else I haven't tried yet! What do you enjoy in your grilled cheese?

It's actually affordable too, 1 Hive post worth $5-10 could easily afford most of the ingredients for this recipe.

$510 for the recipe??it is expensive, that is total three months salary of some workers in the country where I come from...lol....

Nice! I’ll have to try that sometime! My wife and two of my kids went to Disneyland back in November of 2019 because they were in the area. She’s been trying to recreate different Disneyland foods ever since! Haha

That's awesome! This should be a good fit and bring back some memories. Enjoy!
