...An interesting prompt today "delivery". Numerous ways this word can be interpreted. One way involves how a person interacts with others. It can be an attitude or words that determine how the receiver interprets the exchange. I share a story based on the prompt in the format of a ZAPFIC100. This format was created by @felt.buzz.
For my theme, I was inspired by and utilized the @daily.prompt's publishing of Day 1187: 5 Minute Freewrite: Wednesday - Prompt: delivery.
Below is my story:
Career day. High school seniors flocked to the auditorium.
Excitement was brewing as each student anticipated vying for a chance at a Fine Arts scholarship.
Local college representatives sat ready for the performances.
Joel studied all week the prep course for the oral presentation.
Now, in his hour of delivery, he was ready.
No sooner had the counselor began to introduce contestants, he raised his hand.
His stomach rumbled; head ached; body shivered. Then, he developed raised lumps on his arms and face.
Medical staff alerted, Joel was rushed to the emergency room, but learned he'd get a second chance.
