Chapter Two

"How long have we been up here?" The question came from the Repair-o-Bot, or RoB for short, who seemed already quite bored. RoB was a helpful bot, but prone to moodiness if he didn't have anything to repair.

"Sixteen hours," Blue responded. "Isn't it exciting! Sixteen hours in space!"

RoB drawled. "Sixteen hours. Sixteen hours with nothing to fix. Space seems boring."

Yellow quipped up helpfully. "Would it help if we broke something?"

"Yes!" RoB answered in a robotic wheeze of excitement.

"No!" both Pink and Blue answered quickly.

"Fine," RoB sulked. "I'll just go somewhere and not repair anythig." And he did just that.

A few hours later - after playing some tic-tac-toe and eating a snack of dried banana chips - the crew was approaching their first waypoint.

Mission Commander Blue called all into the meeting room. "Team, we're reaching our first rendeavouz point. We need to deploy the communication satellite so we can continue to have quick contact with earth."

"White, are you ready?" When Blue asked the question White was barely paying attention.

"What? Me?" White asked.

Blue nodded, sagely. "You. You want more excitement, and Yellow needs to learn to fly the shuttle." Both of them seemed quite excited by that, so Yellow went to the cockpit and White went to the cargo area.

The deployment of the satellite went smooth. As White re-entered the cargo bay and the shuttle flew to its next destination the remaining crew gathered in the cockpit.

"Do we have clear communication with Earth?" Pink asked Yellow.

Yellow nodded. "We're receiving tv commercials right now." A small sigh of relief escaped their lips. Even in the dark recesses of outer space they would be able to complete their capitalist requirements to build the economy. "But..."

"But what?" Blue asked.

"There's some sort of interference... but it's gone now. Must have just been a hiccup."

Blue nodded, and plotted their path to their next adventure.
