The idea for My Life In Color - Highlighting the Color For the Day evolved from a challenge based on colors assigned to each day that was the concept of a former Hive member. I decided to create my own version. It's not a challenge; just sharing many of my personal photos and digital drawing images in my collection.

With that said, today is green and turquoise. My choice of colors are found in my color chart below in which I assigned a different day of the week with a particular color or color blend.

I've read numerous times how we navigate toward certain colors. This may simply be due to individual perception. This has been done for thousands of years. In different societies, an array of colors are adapted for specific customs.

According to colorpsychology, green is a secondary color. It is created by combining blue and yellow in equal proportions. Green is also a dominant color in nature. This pigment represents natural and forest environments. The color green has numerous shades.

Also, green is regaled as the most relaxing color for humans. Symbolizing harmony, tranquility, and peace, it is seen as soothing and pleasing to the spirit. Not only does the color enhance stability and endurance, it is most associated with growth and renewal. In some cultures, green is celebrated as promoting balance in one's life, optimism, and giving hope.

When it comes to the sciences, in the medical arena, the color green has been used to generate positive outcomes in patients' therapies. The medical industry views the color as helping patients It's calming effects have been utilized to help patients relax and focus, thereby reducing their anxiety. This speeds recover from surgeries or ailments.

Lessening mood disturbances, green is associated with a place where all human basic needs can be satisfied, such as locating food, water, shelter. It exudes a sense of security.

Before the 16th century, green dyes were made out of the fern, plantain, and buckthorn berries, but this practice was quickly abandoned. In the 18th century, synthetic green pigments and dyes were invented. These pigments became popular in a short period and replaced the mineral and vegetable ones.

When the color green was finally adopted widely and used extensively in art, its purpose was to create specific emotions and not just imitate nature. I can understand this concept. When working with various colors of green in designing art, I do feel various positive emotions.

In the 20th century, color green became a political symbol in many European countries. Today it mostly stands for environmental movements around the world.

I apply the color green in my daily life for my wardrobe choices. Due to the vibrant imagery, I have refrained from decorating in these tones. However, when designing my art, this color is among my choices for producing bold and dramatic images.

I'd be pleased if you'd view my images for today set out below.

Personal Photos

During the rains, I noticed a patch of round white in my lawn. Upon further inspection, I discovered it was a fungi. A distinct type of mushroom that was stark white. It was quite noticeable among the green blades of grass.

I'm supposed to be showcasing my lush San Augustine grass. But that is common. What is uncommon is the mushroom. I'm still not familiar enough with the different types growing wild to handle them. I certainly will not consume them as I'm unable to determine whether they are edible.

The mushrooms did add a nice touch to my green blades of grass for this green color day.

Stable Diffusion

When we talk about generative art, other types of program I utilize deal with Stable Diffusion. I recently discovered this type of software and have been producing beautiful art mages. Stable Diffusion software utilized text prompt to produce images. One of the programs I use is StarryAI. For example, with the image below, here is the process I used:

Text Prompt:
"Underwater portal to another another realm."

Result:
I feel that the diffusion created the underwater adventure I envisioned.

I really love the underwater diffusion, I am imagining myself standing in that front door and coming down through stairs.

I like the underwater diffusion image also. Noe that sounds intriguing standing at the door. That is what images are supposed to do...stir one's imagination. I'm pleased you liked my images. Thanks so much for your support.

Take care.
