Last week was a school break for the children. We decided to rent a pool close to home and take the whole family and celebrate together.
The day started very well, radiant sun and clear skies. We prepare everything and leave immediately. My girl, I think she got up with her pants on, because as soon as she felt the alarm clock, it didn't take her 10 minutes to get ready.
When everyone was ready, we started the Polaquito and without further delay we went to the place.
As soon as we arrived they were already in the water, they didn't wait or arrange things and they were already inside playing.
- The water in the pool was frozen, it's spring water. In the municipality of boyeros there is a distribution called Río Verde that they have the underground mantle not very deep, which is why many houses in the distribution have swimming pools to rent, they mostly use this water to fill them at no additional cost. The only drawback is that this water stays cold all day. 🥶🥶 But in the end, with the heat in Cuba, a little bit of cold, they don't look bad.

The place is nice, it is located on the outskirts of the city, it is not very glamorous but it has the essentials to spend a happy day and away from worries. That if you have to be careful with the santanillas They are very small ants but they bite very hard, and if you scratch it's much worse. But shaking before occupying the spaces is enough, since this species is scattered throughout the fields of Cuba.
- My father and I randomly put on some charcoal chickens and while we were cooking we shared with some beer from time to time. The specialist in the rotisserie is me, he always burns the meat on charcoal. That's very good at tasting and eating. 😂😂😂😂 I had to send him to take a bath for a while with Thiago my other nephew, otherwise they were going to destroy the chickens at lunch.
Thiago is as if he were my own son, since he was less than a year old I took him with me to my house and we used to walk to many places together, I remember how his first experience was in a pool, I was the one who taught him to swim, which I couldn't even do with my princess Sophia.
A My mom was always afraid to learn to swim, but I'm a fish in the water and Sophia learned practically by herself. Although I still want to give him some lessons.
In the afternoon it started to rain and we continued bathing in the pool because it didn't thunder and the water was delicious, typical summer day.
It's a shame I couldn't document those scenes because comrade Sophia was in charge of draining my phone's battery.
But I guarantee you that everything went very well and around 6 in the afternoon we returned home after a long and fun day of family vacation.

La semana pasada fue de receso escolar para los niños. Decidimos rentar una piscina cercana de casa y llevar a toda la familia y festejar juntos.
El día comenzaba muy bien, sol radiante y cielo despejado. Preparamos todo y salimos de inmediato. La Niña mía yo creo que se levantó con la trusa puesta, porque apenas sintió el despertador no se tardó ni 10 minutos en alistarse.
Cuando todos estaban listos arrancamos el Polaquito y sin más demoras nos fuimos para el lugar.
Apenas llegamos ya ellos estaban en el agua , no esperaron ni acomodar las cosas y ya estaban dentro jugando.
- El agua de la piscina estaba helada, es agua de manantial. En el municipio boyeros hay un reparto que se llama Río Verde que tienen el manto subterráneo no muy profundo de ahí que muchas casas del reparto tengan piscinas para rentar, en su mayoría utilizan esta agua para llenarlas sin costo adicional alguno. Lo único inconveniente es que está agua se mantiene fría todo el día. 🥶🥶 Pero al final con el calor que hace en Cuba un poquito de frío no vien mal.

El lugar es agradable, está ubicado en las afueras de la ciudad, no tiene mucho glamour pero cuenta con lo esencial para pasar un día feliz y lejos de las preocupaciones. Eso si hay que tener cuidado con las santanillas son hormigas muy pequeñitas pero pican bien duro, y si te rascas es mucho peor. Pero con sacudir antes de ocupar los espacios es suficiente, ya que está especié está diseminada por todos los campos de cuba.
- Mi padre y yo nos pusimos a azar unos pollos al carbón y mientras cocinábamos compartíamos con alguna cerveza de vez en cuando. El especialista en el asador soy yo, a él siempre se le quema la carne al carbón. Eso si es muy bueno probando y comiendo. 😂😂😂😂 Lo tuve que mandar a bañarse un rato con Thiago mi otro sobrino, sino iban a arrasar con los pollos del almuerzo.
Thiago es como si fuera mi propio hijo, desde que tenía menos de un año me lo llevaba conmigo a mi casa y solíamos pasear a muchos lugares juntos, recuerdo cómo fue su primera experiencia en una piscina, yo fui quien lo enseñó a nadar, cosa que no pude hacer ni con mi princesa Sophia.
A mi mamá siempre le dio miedo aprender a nadar, pero yo soy un pez en el agua y Sophia aprendió prácticamente sola. Aunque todavía quiero darle algunas lecciones.
En la tarde empezó a llover y seguimos bañándonos en la piscina porque no tronó y el agua estaba riquísima, típico día de verano.
Es una pena no pude documentar esas escenas porque la compañerita Sophia se encargó de agotarme la batería del teléfono.
Pero les garantizo que todo salió muy bien y sobre las 6 de la tarde regresamos a casa después de un largo y divertido día de vacaciones en familia.
