RE: My Cat Brought Home a Moorhen Chick… and I Let It Go

Super, super tempting, especially since I know that I could tame it. They would really be an ideal pet around here, but best for it to live where it's supposed to. Don’t like rodents too, except hamsters. I had hamsters before, and I had lots of stories about them. This one, my first hamster, was when I was on a board exam review in Manila and stayed in a dormitory for 6 months. Out of boredom and trying to distract my mind from the coming exam, I bought a hamster, and it sat on the table with me while I read and made my leg its playground. It slid down over and over again on my leg while I was sitting, and it was very entertaining. Then one day in the review room with 100 of us, I smelled something funny around me. Thinking it was my seatmate, I opened my bag, and it was full of hamster food. He had hoarded his food in it, which I had to excuse myself for and empty in the bathroom. God knows how I passed that exam, haha!

Lol. Insane creature 😁 And it brought you luck.

I had a hamster too but I never wanted one - a friend gifted me. When she brought it, I thought: "Can it be true that there are still people who don't know you mustn't gift pets to people, especially those who never expressed an idea they wanted a pet?"

It was depressing to see her short, lonely, senseless life in a cage. Although Miss Hash had a lot, even a human friend - my neighbor, a student of medicine, regularly played with her and let her out of the cage - allowed her to travel on his body and on tables when he was high on weed. He also breathed smoke at her sometimes (that's why Miss Hash).

She died of natural causes in her bed (made of torn paper). Probably not the worst life for a hamster pet.

You were so nice not to return that little one to a friend, but it seemed that Mr hash had a good time, though tiny, winy, short life, haha.
