Very fortunate timing for this particular contest/challenge!

This is my entry for @nelinoeva's Show Me A Photo Contest Round 13 which is currently running in the Feathered Friends Community.

Our Crow Tour Guide!

Last week, I spent three days at a poetry retreat at Fort Worden State Park here in Washington state.

We had a couple of truly beautiful spring days, and when we went out to explore from our little cottage retreat, this crow decided to follow us and "show us the way."

At one point he just sat still, very close by, and looked at us... perfect shiny black feathers glistening in the sun; this was the best picture I got!

Don't you love the shiny feathers they display, with the sun playing with the colors? I have never been to a poetry retreat, but, I am sure it would be interesting to do.

Your crow really knows how to strike a pose.

The crows at this particular state park are somewhat tame because there are so many visitors because of the retreat center, two large campgrounds and more. This one was mostly in motion, so I'm glad a got a shot of something other than "blur."
