CHANGE OF JOB - WHY, WHY, FOR WHAT PURPOSE. It is not possible to change the profession of a forester

in Silver Bloggers2 years ago

I have thought many times about why people change jobs and for what purpose.
I am no longer twenty and therefore I can draw several conclusions on this topic.
Let's go back 30 years. At that time, they entered educational institutions in order to get their favorite job for the future. If a person wanted to become a doctor or a teacher, and did not succeed the first time, then he made several attempts and eventually got what he dreamed of.
Such people at the moment (not all of course) have a decent work experience and they are the best specialists in their field.
What is happening at the moment?
I can share on the example of my niece, since this situation happens to almost everyone who graduates from school.
When my niece finished 10th grade, I asked where she would go to study. The answer shocked me: "Where will the documents go?" Well, that's bullshit.
She applied to 5 universities. As a result, she entered the university at the land city cadastre.
And now let's discuss what kind of specialist will come out of this university. Yes, none.
The child does not have a craving for nature (which includes quite a few subjects in the university). She is a city dweller and it will be difficult for her to make at least some experience associated with this profession. After all, not everyone manages to get a position and sit down for paperwork, you also have to walk through the forest-cities with a level or theodolite. Well, this is me, for example.
This is where the job change begins. It seems to be a diploma with one specialty, but we work in another. And so it goes on in life. A person does not stay in one place for more than a year.
Wages also play an important role. Every year life becomes more and more difficult in terms of finances. We love to dress beautifully, to eat delicious food, to equip our family nest. But this requires money. And if you are a fan of your work, and a poorly paid one, then you will vegetate in poverty.
And as they say, "The fish is looking for where it is deeper, and where the man is better." People leave their favorite job and go in search of one where the work is paid adequately.
Anything can be other factors for changing jobs - these are not convenient work schedules, relationships in a team, lack of career growth, etc.
I have been observing all this for 30 years, since I changed my job only once, but after five months I returned back to my profession.
We have a family of foresters, and they say this about our profession: "A forester is a vocation, and if you don't quit in a year, you will work all your life."
And indeed it is. This has been verified by our own experience.
From the first days of work it was very difficult. Although the diploma is in hand, and the position is normal, but there is not enough knowledge on the diploma. Everything has to be re-learned and already in the workplace.
The salary of foresters has never been high, and if you are not a fan of your profession, then it is not worth working.
As with any business, there are downsides. The rules are changing, new thoughts on how to conduct work appear in the minds of ministerial officials, and so on. Every year new ones are introduced, and foreign technologies and requirements are appropriate, but salaries remain the same.
Having worked for 30 years in one place, five years ago I was persistently visited by the thought of quitting my job.
There are many reasons - low salary, a lot of documentation, strict requirements, etc. But ... the question also arises - where to go to work?
For me, changing jobs is again learning something new and incomprehensible to me.
There are a lot of "why" at once. Why should I change something where I am a complete layman. Where I will not be comfortable in terms of specialty.
I can’t even imagine who I would like to become now and what job to change my own.
At the moment it is very difficult for me to work. There is no longer that energy to run through the forest, to sit at night for documentation. I just want to quit everything and quit, and transfer my position to my son. But, alas, my family unanimously repeats "What are we going to do without you."
This is how it turns out in my own example.
Why should I change my job if we have the whole family in the same profession.

Why should I change it if my family dynasty needs me.
And why should I change it if I am a FAN of my profession.
I love my job and don't want to change. Where else can you find so many pleasures - it's both work and leisure at the same time. It's true that beautiful makeup sometimes has to be abandoned.
