I played in the first round of early access for this game and I have to say it was pretty cool. Only the top 50 walked away with prizes however but that's now changed! Early access round 2 is here and with it some new updates to balance the game and we are able to pull out the RLM token we earn in game. This is my first day playing at it just released at 10:30pm UTC time.
*Important Notes: If you want to play Realm yourself you will need a early access token in your wax wallet. You'll also need at least one leader (but it's recommended to have a few as you'll want one for each continent you're on and to do missions.
The Leaders
Each leader has a special perk and with it those perks increase as you combine cards and level them up.

There are a few others that I don't yet have and most likely there will be more! Leveling up these cards increases their main stats such as a higher mission success by the celebrity.
How To Play
The cool thing about this game is it's simple and passive yet complex and active. Yeah those two things for sure don't go together but let me explain in detail what I mean.
When you first start the game you'll have one continent and one building spot. This is where you will place your first building the HQ. From here you now have the ability to build other buildings and the order you build them in will either hurt you or help you. It also depends on your play style as well and how you want to set it up.
The building
HQ - Used to build buildings and expand build slots
Factory - produces resources suched for upgrades, training and other items
Housing - houses your trained units to be used in missions
Storage - allows you to hold more resources
Training Camp - trains your units or exclusive units other than workers
Research - various upgrades that cost resources or RLM tokens

As you're building out your country you'll notice there are two other blobs on your continent these are missions. Clicking on one will allow you to see the stats of the mission.
The mission overview will tell you what the rewards are. The special type of unit to use (you can alway use workers but having specific helpers will require less of them and improve chances of success. It also includes the time it will take to complete it. Clicking on mission brief will load the next screen
With all of that you build and advance your way through the game. When you reach level 5 (which is why you do missions for XP and leveling up) You unlock another continent allowing you to place another leader (that has world wide effects from what I'm told) and do two more missions plus have more buildings.
Like most wax games this one isn't the cheapest to get in. Packs run for about $50 a the moment and higher level cards can go for a lot as well. The biggest in demand cards are helper cards which are pretty rare to come by. I suspect however when the game comes out of early access there will be a whitelist for a new pack. Total speculation but normally that's how most games go. I'd say jump in and get started a bit if this game is of intrest to you and get a feel for it and be ready and watching in the discord for when it comes out of early access for your chance to jump on those new packs.
