The 48th match of the IPL 2021 was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Punjab Kings. RCB won against PKKS by 6 runs and hold their 3rd position on the points table. RCB won 8 matches out of 12 matches and confirmed the playoffs. On the other hand PBKS almost out of playoffs. They won 5 matches out of 13 matches.

RCB won the toss and elected to bat first. RCB had a good start. Skipper Virat kohli and Devdutt Padikkal made 68 runs opening partnership. Kholi scored 25 runs in 24 balls including 2 fours and a six. Padikkal scored 40 runs in 38 balls including 4 fours and 2 sixes. RCB lost 3 wickets just for scoring 73 runs. Then AB De Villiers and Glenn Maxwell made 73 runs big partnership. De Villiers scored 23 runs in 18 balls including 1 four and 2 sixes. Glenn Maxwell played an aggressive innings and scored 57 runs in 33 balls including 3 fours and 4 sixes. Finally RCB scored total 164 runs by 7 wickets.

Aussie all rounder Moises Henriques bowled brilliantly and picked up 3 wickets just for 12 runs in 4 overs. Pacer Mohammad Shami picked up 3 wickets for 39 runs in 4 overs.

In reply PBKS had a great start. KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal made 91 runs opening partnership. KL Rahul scored 39 runs in 35 balls including 1 four and 2 sixes. Agarwal scored 57 runs in 42 balls including 6 fours and 2 sixes. But after breaking their partnership others batsman totally failed to play a attacking innings to chase down the target.

RCB bowlers performed team work. RCB leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal picked up 3 wickets for 29 runs in 4 overs. George Garton and Shahbaz Ahmed each took one wicket. Glenn Maxwell was player of the match for his brilliant innings.

I think it was a good move by RCB to take on 2 of their in form bowlers in Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh and others were OK, but the 2 guys mentioned were the major reason RCB had lost to PBKS previously along with Harpreet Brar who wasn't of much threat this time or RCB played out him wisely without giving him wickets.

Also, RCB's turnaround is because of the way Glenn Maxwell played and I think he was the difference in both batting lineups.

Yeah, RCB has the best batting lineups and especially Maxwell is in good form.
