It's the 3rd and last match between England vs Pakistan played yesterday at Edgbaston, Birmingham. England beat Pakistan by 3 wickets and also won the ODI series by 3-0.
England won the toss and elected to bowl first. Pakistan Opener Fakhar Zaman gone early then Pak skipper Babar Azam came out and made a good partnership with Imam Ul Haque. Imam scored 56 runs in 73 balls including 7 fours. After Imam wicket Rizwan came out and again made a big partnership of 179 runs with Babar. Rizwan played an attacking innings of 74 runs in 58 balls including 8 fours. Babar Azam scored an outstanding innings of 158 runs in 139 balls including 14 fours and 4 sixes. Finally Pakistan scored total 331 runs by 9 wickets.
English pacer Brydon Carse picked up 5 wickets. It's the first 5 wickets haul in his bowling career. Saqib Mahmood picked up 3 wickets and Matthew Parkinson 1 wicket.
In reply England couldn't start well. They lost David Malan for duck then Philip Salt gone for 37 runs in 22 balls including 7 fours. James Vince came out and made 51 runs partnership with Zak Crawley. Zak Crawley scored 39 runs in 34 balls including 7 fours. English all rounder Ben Stokes came out and scored 32 runs in 28 balls including 4 fours and 1 six. England have lost total 5 wickets to score only 165 runs. Then Lewis Gregory came out and made a game changing partnership of 129 runs with James Vince. Vince scored 102 runs in 95 balls including 11 fours and Lewis Gregory scored 77 runs in 69 balls including 6 fours and 3 sixes. After losing their wickets Craig Overton and Brydon Carse chased down the match and both remained unbeaten.
Haris Rauf picked up 4 wickets, Shadab Khan 2 wickets and Hasan Ali 1 wicket. James Vince was player of the match and Saqib Mahmood was player of the series.
