It was the second match of the 3 match T20 series played between England vs Pakistan yesterday at Headingley, Leeds. England defeated Pakistan by 45 runs and equal the 3 match series by 1-1. So next match will be very important for the both teams to win the series.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. England couldn't start well. They have lost Roy and Malan early. Then Moeen Ali came out and made 67 runs partnership with Jos Buttler. Both of them played aggressive innings. Moeen scored 36 runs in 16 balls including 6 fours and 1 six. Buttler scored 59 runs in 39 balls including 7 fours and 2 big sixes. Livingstone again proved his ability like previous match and scored 38 runs in 23 balls including 2 fours and 3 sixes. Finally England scored total 200 runs by 10 wickets in 19.5 overs.
Pak pacer Mohammad Hasnain picked up 3 wickets for 51 runs in 4 overs, very expensive bowling for him. Imad Wasim and Haris Rauf each picked up two wickets. Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan each picked up 1 wicket.
In reply Pakistan started well. Babar Azam and Rizwan made 50 runs opening partnership.
Babar scored 22 runs in 16 balls including 3 fours and Rizwan scored 37 runs in 29 balls including 3 fours and 1 six. But after falling their wickets others batsman failed to score a good innings to chase down the match. Hafeez scored 15 runs, Imad 20 runs and Shadab Khan scored unbeaten 36 runs in 22 balls including 2 fours and 3 sixes. Finally Pakistan scored total 155 runs by 9 wickets.
English bowlers performed really well. Saqib Mahmood picked up 3 wickets for 33 runs in 4 overs. Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid each picked up 2 wickets. Tom Curran and Matthew Parkinson each picked up 1 wicket. Moeen Ali was player of the match for his all round performance.
