It was the 24th match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 played between Afghanistan vs Pakistan yesterday at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. Pakistan won against Afghanistan by 5 wickets. Pakistan won total 3 matches out of 3 matches. On the other hand Afghanistan won one match out of 2 matches.
Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first. In early Afghanistan have lost their top orders. They have lost total 4 wickets just for scoring 39 runs in 5.1 overs. Then Karim Janat and Najibullah made 25 runs partnership but they also gone and Afghanistan lost total 6 wickets for scoring 76 runs in 12.5 overs. Karim Janat scored 15 runs in 17 balls including 1 four and 1 six. Najibullah scored 22 runs in 21 balls including 3 fours and a six. After breaking their partnership Mohammad Nabi, Gulbadin Naib came out and made 72 runs big partnership. Mohammad Nabi scored 35 runs in 32 balls including 5 fours and finally remained unbeaten. Gulbadin Naib scored unbeaten 35 runs in 25 balls including 4 fours and a six.
Pakistani bowlers are in great form. Again they prove their bowling strength. Imad Wasim picked up two wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs. Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan each took one wicket.
In reply Pakistan lost Mohammad Rizwan early at only 8 runs. Then Fakhar Zaman came out and made 63 runs strong partnership with Babar Azam. Zaman scored 30 runs in 25 balls including 2 four and a six. Then Mohammad Hafeez came out but gone for only 10 runs. Babar Azam played responsible but slow innings scoring 51 runs in 47 balls including 4 fours. Shoaib Malik scored 19 runs in 15 balls including a four and a six. But Pakistan lost total 5 wickets for scoring 124 runs in 17.5 overs and it's very difficult to chased down the target. But Asif Ali came out and repeated the magical match winning innings like previous match. He scored unbeaten 25 runs in only 7 balls including 4 big sixes.
Afghan star Rashid Khan bowled well and picked up two wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs. Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Mohammad Nabi, Naveen-ul-Haq each took one wicket. Asif Ali was player of the match for his magical match winning innings.
