This could be bad.

There was a time where this wouldn't even be a featured match. United would just routinely take the won and move on to bigger and tougher challenges.

Those days are long gone.

Manchester is firmly in the blue these days and as long as Pep is there with an unlimited bankroll that is not going to change.

They have the better manager, the better players, the better culture and the better bankroll.

United are a spent force of quality players thrown together on one team.

Could they win?

Of course they could. This is soccer and one goal can win a game.

The problem is that they won't win because they won't be able to hold City to nil.

The United defense is a mess that struggles against the most average teams in the league. This is free scoring City that take apart defenses for fun.

It's still a super sunday.

I don't watch many premier league games, i tend to save my matches for european games but this is one of those exceptions.

There is enough rivalry there to make it interesting even if i think it's going to go the wrong way for my tastes.

There are enough talented players on the pitch to keep me interested and we'll see a lot of skill and fight on the screen. Derbys are fun to watch and hopefully we see a bit of bite form the united team.

As the old saying goes.

"If you can't win the match. At least win the fight."

Bet of the week.

It's hard to pick a bet for the match but it makes it a lot more interesting for me to watch.

I've only €30 in my account so i'll go for along shot today.

I can't in my heart pick any bet that looks at united winning but this is the manchester derby where anything can happen.

Anthony Elanga 1+ Shots On Target in Each Half & Man Utd 7+ Match Shots On Target 55/1
€15 for €840

Man City to Win Each Half, Phil Foden to Score & Man City to Have Most Corners in Each Half 11/1
€15 for €180

I like these long bets that can go on for the whole game. It keeps the interest going even if the match has already gone by the wayside.

I'm expecting the worst and wouldn't be shocked at 4 - 1 to Man City.

Sort:

Kind of obvious what is going to happen and did. Arsenal with 3 games in hand plus ahead in 4th and now Tottenham for United next week. I can easily see United outside the top 5 which is honesty where they belong as who is everyone trying to kid as they should have rebuilt instead of covering over the cracks. Whoever takes over will need time to change the squad and rebuild. De Gea saved the hiding as 4-1 should have been far more. When your goal keeper is the star player your team has serious problems.

It was a no brainer really.
United will finish 5th in my opinion. They will always beat spurs when the pressure is on but arsenal are improving every week.

De Gea has been the difference for them in the past 5 years when they would be a mid table team without him. I don't know who the right manager is but they need a full rebuild from the defense up.

My choice is Brendan Rodgers. I think that he builds good teams and is good with the players as well. Plus he is one of the few that isn't at a top club already.

Saw things about De Haag coming and don't know too much about him to be honest. They need someone who is going to get their hands dirty fixing this mess.

The bet seems reasonable but looks unlikely tho. Will check back after the match

Should have bet on the 4:1 outcome. I looked for it but couldn't see that section.

Hmmmmm.... Well mancity will beat manutd anytime in this season in my opinion.

Better luck next time

😉 good luck in whatever bet you end up taking.

Couldn't submit post as you used a Getty Image plus no source.

It's actually pixabay. I changed the pic and added the source there be safe but don't worry about it. It nice when you get the votes but always a bonus.

I use pixabay for almost everything in my posts. Keeps me out of trouble.

Usually. 😇

Strange as I found it on Getty. I know you are normally careful.

United's defense was a joke. And I say this as a person who tries to be respectful and impartial as much as possible. Like some of the players' actions defensively were just laughable, especially ones that led to goals.
