The Delhi Capitals won the toss and decided to bat first.
The start of the innings did not go the way Delhi Capitals wanted, they lost the first wicket on the first ball.
At one point, they were 23/3, but then they managed a big partnership.
Though they had a good partnership and consolidated, Delhi Capitals only managed 156/7 in there 20 overs.
Mumbai Indians bowlers were excellent through out the innings. Good bowling was complemented with good fielding and catching.
Needing 157 in 20 overs, Mumbai Indians started with a bang. The opening batsman scored lots of runs in the first powerplay ( 6 overs).
Mumbai indians reached the target and won the match by 5 wickets.
Mumbai Indians are the IPL champions. This is the 5th time they have won the trophy.
Most no of times any team has won in the 13 years of the IPL existence.
