His Body, His Choice

in Sports Talk Social2 years ago

With the way the economy is going, only a few people are willing to make a decision that concerns their bodies all for the sake of career and wealth, and Novak Djokovic is among those few people.

I know he has a lot to keep him going if anything should happen based on the decision he made that has to with his career but I still fill career is a career and if a person who was into his career and did it with passion is willing to let go of his career because of his decision that has to do with his body, then he deserves an accolade because only few can take such a risky decision.

Novak Djokovic in an interview says he would rather skip future tournaments including the upcoming Wimbledon than be forced to get the COVID jab.

He went on to say, "That is the price he is willing to pay. The principles of decision making on his body are most important than any title or anything else."

Looking into his portfolio, Novak Djokovic has won 19 grand slams, same as Federer, and one less than Nadal, so if his refusal to take the COVID vaccine leads to his retirement, he has nothing to lose.

He is a Serbian professional tennis player and The Association of Tennis Professionals ranks him as world No. 1. For the record of 360 weeks, he has been No. 1 and for a record of seven years, he finished as ATP Year-End No. 1.

He's got a lot in his portfolio but notwithstanding, he isn't going to let those things deprive him of having a say in his life and his body.

I mean it won't change the fact that he's had an excellent career in tennis. It's hard to see such a man who is willing to choose his body over his career after so much effort and time put into it in all, he decides to pick the state of his body over.

He is indeed a bold and courageous man to have made such a hard decision even though he would always be remembered in the sport as once a tennis player but would he be able to stand the idea of not playing tennis ever again?

I don't think it is as easy as we see it to be that he decided to choose his body over his career but as they say, life is all about choices.
