The premier league is set to resume this weekend as the gunners would be hosting Aston Villa in the Emirates. Arsenal are not still having a fantastic season but are however, still in the process of picking themselves up after a disastrous start in this season campaign.

Although they a five-game undefeated streak in the Premier League so far, after losing their first three matches which has silenced some of the critics winning three of those games and two draws (W3, D2).

The gunners last match against North London rivals crystal palace wasn't an easy fixture for them as they were able to secure points in the 95th minutes of the game, thanks to goal from Alexander Lacazette who rescued the team with an equaliser against Crystal Palace on Monday which ended in a 2-2 draw despite the gunners scoring first in the game.

The host however, usually have fantastic record while playing on a Friday, The record which as been held before the start of last season where they are unbeaten in nine premier league friday games (W7, D2), before falling to two successive Friday defeats ever since with one of those defeat which happens to be their opening game in this season campaign where they lost to newly promoted side Brentford in their first game, losing the game by 2-0.

Despite that a positive result here against Aston Villa will take them in the top half of the premier league table for the first time this season. Their opponents too as well Aston Villa will have the same aspirations to go to the top half of the table if they get a victory against their host as they sit just one point and one place behind the gunners.

Aston Villa have struggled to follow up their historic win at Old Trafford last month against Manchester United, losing their two fixtures which follow after then with a shock defeat to wolves after been two goals up eventually lost the game by conceding three goals in the last 10th minute of the game in their last match.

Friday games are not really kind to Aston villa and the fans either, as their team have won only two of their ten matches played on a Friday with four draws and four defeats (W2,D4, L4). Aston villa's game is some how kind to Villa fans in premier league matches at the Emirates, as only Manchester City and Chelsea have won more premier league matches at the Emirates than Aston Villa’s four.

The visitors are also currently on a three-game winning run in the premier league against their hosts, but on the records they have last won four successive league matches against Arsenal way back in 1962.

The game would really be a tough cracker as the gunners are set to bounce back on winning ways on a Friday and also continue with their unbeaten streak if @chekohler would agree with me.

Players to watch

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The gabonese international would be a real treat for the visitors as his ready to score at anytime and would be a tough task for Villa. The Player has scored in his last three league games at the Emirates Stadium.

Danny Ings

The English man however is having a fantastic season at Villa and would want to continue with that trend by scoring against Arsenal away from home.

This is one game I can't predict how it would end. Arsenal might be Arsenal or they might just blow it again.
