It wasn't a good result for the 'merseyside blues' in their last match against West Ham after losing the game by one goal to nil with Everton’s ambitions and hope for European qualification took a blow on Sunday with that shock defeat at home.

The game which saw Rafael Benítez's 100% home record finally shorn of his record this campaign after seeing his men Lose 1-0 to West Ham. With this defeat however marks their second defeat in four league matches so far, (W1, D1, L2), and both losses see them concede it from a corner kick, which is already a niche weakness for them to address.

Although Injuries worries have played a part in Everton’s recent slump in the league, with both losses seeing 2020/21 top scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin and also fellow player Richarlison absent from the squad which is a big blow for them.

The players return to fitness will be particularly welcomed to strengthen the team again. The absence of Brazilian player Richarlison have seen Everton lost half of the ten Premier League games the Brazilian has missed since the beginning of 2020 with the record (W2, D3, L5).

Their visitors however also have something to prove against Everton after being humiliated 5-0 by Liverpool in their last match. The humiliating result undoubtedly gave new manager Claudio Ranieri much to bother so as to bounce back in his game, but the manager however has won on his last four visits to Goodison Park against Everton as an opposition manager.

With that record been achieved will some how be giving Watford some hopes of defying and returning back to winning ways and also the odds of registering a maiden win at this venue on the 16th attempt later this afternoon. Watford however are not having a good away record which is also another problem for them this season (W1, L3), despite those defeats saw Watford keep a second-half clean sheet but their inability to recover from an early setback is worrisome for them.

Though the fixture will be a tough cracker for both side as the two clubs are set to return back to winning ways after both lost their last match. The host would have a little problem because they have been unable to keep cleansheet in their last five premier matches and would really need to work on that to Avoid another goal or shock defeat.
