RE: Out with the old, in with the new and K Club Golf

Pretty decent as this starts to add up. Don't get me onto golf balls as we used to live next door with a boundary wall running along the 13th par 5. On average when golf was being played anywhere between 30 and 50 golf balls per day would end up on the property. There was some close misses like one landed next to me whilst I was in the swimming pool. Another embedded itself into the thatched roof but the pool was the main catchment area. I gave most of them away, but reckon I have a few thousand lying around somewhere.

Holy shit that's a serious pain in the arse! and dangerous too..

You could probably sell those thousands of balls, especially if there are any decent ones amongst them, which people would pay €1 each for second hand..

Danger is my middle name lol. It was seriously dangerous on Wednesdays and Saturdays when they had the course full as our house sat at the end of a dog leg and if you hit it straight they would find us. I was amazed at how many balls found our property until I played the course and hit one into the pool. I knew this as I retrieved it when I got home lol. Most are ProV1's and are basically brand new so yes they are worth something. I used them for practicing my putting and chipping after hours when the course was closed which was one of the perks living next door.

Sweet!! That is a quality perk, but balls raining down on you when you are trying to chill in your back garden is a nightmare. Majority ProV1s.... Nice.. That's another perk :)

Downside was the crime coming from the golf course side of the property via break ins. Many nights some of us would be out playing a mini tournament using torches as we had to show who was boss in the area. The caddies were the crooks mainly as I used to stand guard over the weekends from Friday to Sunday night and prevented break ins. The next door neighbors were done over 7 times each and our house not once. The week we moved the new occupants were robbed so they were watching and new.

No shit! That must have been a serious pain in ass, especially for those folks that got done 7 times, ouch!
