Hoverflies like to visit Miss Pimientos de Padrón.

A small Pimientos de Padrón plant lives by the skylight.
She lives there quite well despite a somewhat small pot.
Water is always available, so she has been flowering for quite some time.
She has a roommate with arms instead of branches who keeps opening the skylight.
Thanks to this coexistence the little plant gets regular visits.

Whenever the hoverfly passes by, the plant is very happy.
The more flowers it has opened, the longer the fly roams around it.
She doesn't know why the Pimientos de padrón always gets so fuzzy, but it feels right.

The hoverfly likes to come by, the flowers taste great.
But every time she comes back, the flowers she ate the last time are hanging with green balls.
Anyway, there are always new flowers.

Keep growing something... and feed the insects!

Me encanta esta publicación @sifondeseltz. Nunca he pensado en cultivar pimientos.

I love this post @sifondeseltz. I've never thought about growing pimientos. In English, when I see pimiento, I think of the cheese spread, which has no heat at all.
Are these peppers hot(as in spicy)?

The bigger you let them grow, the hotter they become, in my experience.
If you plant them outside, they produce very large quantities of fruit, a very grateful plant.
Thanks for coming by.

These are small peppers about 2 inches (5 cm) long, with a colour ranging from bright green to yellowish green, and occasionally red.
Their peculiarity lies on the fact that, while their taste is usually mild, a minority (10-25%) are particularly hot.
Whether a given pepper ends up being hot or mild depends on the amount of water and sunlight it receives during its growth, in addition to temperature.
It's said that solely watering the soil of the plant is likely to produce milder pimentos, whilst watering the whole plant, leaves and stalks included, produces peppers of the spicier variety wikipedia
