Never assume or judge anyone's attitude or character. Many people pick offense at every slight provocation because of what they are going through and the weight of load life has put on them and it's eating them up.
I felt bad and I promised myself never to get annoyed with him again.
He has been an annoying person though and most times I judge his attitude from far away because I never wanted to move closer to him.
I felt like hugging him, holding him close by my side, giving him the courage that he can stand again and get his life back in shape.
Kingsley was a student in his final year at the University of Benin(uniben). He was about to write his final exams when he had the opportunity to travel abroad with one of his friend's brothers. The joy of traveling to Switzerland made him to dropout from school and sell one of his father's lands in the village and he did all the necessary things to get ready for the journey. unknown to him that his friend's brother is into stealing vehicles abroad.
After two weeks of preparation, he
was granted access to go to Switzerland.
The journey was impromptu though, but he made himself ready for the journey within 2weeks.
Kingsley got to Switzerland and his hope was bastardized.
He went there with the hope of having a better life for himself and his family but things did not work out the way he had planned it.
In Switzerland he was introduced to vehicle stealing, he was caught and deported to Nigeria.
Now Kingsley is roaming about in the city of Lagos without a home. He can't go back to his family because they are hoping for him.
No education, no place to live in, and no family in Lagos to live with, Things fell apart for him and he became depressed. I met him when his friend sent him packing and he came to the church where I worship. He was drawn by the sound of the choir rehearsing in the church. He is skilled at playing several instruments like the piano, bass guitar, and jazz band. His flaw for me was his hot temper. He easily gets offended at any error made both during rehearsals and during fellowship days. This did not sit well with me as I believed that no human is perfect. So I reacted to him whenever he got upset.
Not until one day when my music coordinator called me aside and explained the reason behind Kingsley's behavior
Now I know the reasons behind Kingsley's misbehavior.
Never conclude anyone' matter from the far try and move closer to them.
