I'm wondering if a $2.00 downvote would affect the author in the trending page? ie if there is a $200 payout mainly upvoted by bidbots will it hurt a little to them or just me? not really sure how much people make out of it. i also asume that the $2.00 is taken across the board both authors and curators? last question is a there a best time to downvote if after 15 minutes etc
If the curve is altered to the one Taraz mentioned yesterday, the bigger the potential payout, the more impact a flag will have, and so even a small account could have an impact on a large payout. I have no idea with regards to the math though.
There is discussion of cheaper flags, so maybe a couple of free ones each day that don't reduce VP - again, I've seen nothing concrete and just passing on rumors.
The flag would reduce the payout, and so author, curators, beneficiaries etc would all lose a %.
I think the best time to disagree would be when the post had topped out rewards-wise.
This is what I understand and it could all be a load of tosh :)
im talking about now not with the new curve idea, thinking of flagging some soon,
Oh right. Well at present your flag will reduce $2 from the total and use the same of VP as a vote of the same % would.
This is the frustration of a post blown up with all the bots - you'd need 10's of millions of SP to take the damn thing out of trending.
once my last post gets past 7 days
lol
And this is the other issue, retaliation. It's an important time for Steem, stuff needs to change for the better or else it could get very quiet here.....
