Favorite Breakfast Place in My Father's Hometown: Kurvada Cafe <3

in #family4 years ago

Yo what's up beautiful people!
I'm here again to share something which happened last year.

I mentioned that I went home to my father's hometown, right? I actually planned to blog my day-to-day experience there, but for some reasons like very slow Wi-Fi/Data connection and wanting to just feel the moment, I failed to do so.

Well, it's better late than never so I'll grab this chance to start posting the stuff we did there as well as some photographs I took of the beautiful place. I hope you enjoy. <3

In this particular post, I'm going to show you one of the new places I visited there. It has become my favorite place to have breakfast in. I hope you enjoy it. Let's start!

We stayed there for three days but only got two mornings to have breakfast: second day and third day, because we arrived a little bit after lunch time during the first day.

As you can see in the pictures above, it's called Kurvada Cafe. "Kurvada/Kurbada" means corner in our dialect so this outdoor cafe is situated in a corner of one of the streets there. Since its outdoors, it feels very refreshing and cool in the morning. It gives off a very great vibes to start your day.

Their roasted coffee is really delicious! Ahh~ I want to drink it again. T_T As for the food, we had the following:

This one is pandesal or Filipino version of bread rolls. It's typical for Filipinos to have this for breakfast. We often dip this into our drinks, be it coffee, milk or chocolate drink. You should try it!

In our dialect, we call this shakoy, but I guess there are various ways to call it in the Philippines. It's a twisted type of fried doughnut. In some cases, they can be hard and covered with sugar. However, this one is soft and is created to be paired with some drinks.

This one is called, Puto Maya. It's a traditional Filipino rice cake wrapped in banana leaf. People enjoy eating it in various ways like pouring some chocolate drink on it, or eating it with mango. It's a delicious traditional food. :D

Originally, it was just I and my parents who went there... because we passed by it while we were jogging, but then we decided to have my grandma join us. So, my papa fetched her from her house and we ate together.

As you may notice, the photographer is always not in the picture. LOL. Anyway, it's OK. :) I have gotten used to being behind the camera. So I can enjoy the same scene as I saw it when I took the picture.

On our last day in my papa's hometown, we also had breakfast there together with my two grandmas, my cousin, my two uncles and parents. I couldn't take any pictures of that day, though. I just cherished the moment I spent with them. :)

I wanna go again. Hopefully, before this year ends. Maybe by December again? We'll see! Thanks a lot. Have a great day and see you! (^_^)/
