The spirit of the Valentine week has been hijacked by the market and business?

Hi friends!

Valentine week is on its full swing. Lovebirds are putting their heart and soul to woo their sweethearts. They are buying chocolates, teddies, gifts for their would be soulmate.

Love is in the air and everything seems coming from fairytales but what lies beneath is the cushion provided by the market. You need money to buy chocolates, teddies and expensive gifts to woo the other person. There is no love without money. So, can't we say that the spirit of the Valentine week has been hijacked by the market and business?

It's a commercialized holiday, yes...but I feel that even without money, if a person truly loves another that they'll be able to make the holiday special for the other.

There's no Valentine spirit over here although the commercials try to make you buy since years. I do not join this madness. If you do you are an idiot and can only blame yourself.
