Entertainment industry rarely gets the real world issues right. Until movies like Platoon (1986) directed by someone who has actually experienced Vietnam came into the screen, most people had a distorted and messed up view on the reality of the war. These distortions easy ave way to propaganda and forming of public opinion in certain ways.

The directions the new season is going could be either a result of the ignorance of the creators who have no idea of economics and government policies (and history) or it could be ideology being pushed through the medium of entertainment. It could even be a mix of these two reasons. One thing I know for certain is that when there is an error, those who see it must raise their voice and call it foul.
