Greetings, I don't understand much about this. Could someone explain to me what the benefits of burning HBD would be, what the goal is, and if it would bring any benefit to Hive?

        Burning means that those HBD can´t be exchanged for Hive anymore which means those Hive can´t be sold on an exchange so they can´t make the Hive price go lower. Because each sell of Hive drives the price lower.
