You have to follow the rules. Your strikes and block should be according to the rules. For example, you are an MMA fighter. You know it very well what you can or cannot do.

If you want to fight with a boxer and that's a boxing competition, you need to follow their rules of boxing. But when you fight for self defense, which rules are you going to follow?

Let's watch the video. We are going to talk about a specific part of the video. This is not my video, and all video credit goes to Radio VOH Online.

There are situations where all you want to do is to do something to defend yourself and get out of there. You do not want to stay there and keep fighting. This is not a fighting competition and there is no winning prize.

If the attacker holds a knife and asks you for something, that is an indication that he wants to rob you. If he wants to kidnap you, he will tell you to go with him. So when the attacker asks you for something like money, wallet, or watch, give it to him.

Even if you decide to attack him, you can still take your wallet to your hand as if you are about to give it to him. The moment he gets distracted or you make him distracted, you can make your move.

You can turn your body to the side and run. Or you can turn, grab the attacker's wrist and twist to apply pressure. Then you can run and get out of there.

So what would you do in a situation like this? Please feel free to let me know your thoughts in the comment section. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post. To learn more about martial arts and self defense, you can check out some of my recent posts.

Stay safe. Always be happy!
