After The Hurricane, We're Supporting Small Businesses

Since Hurricane Ian struck, we've been doing what we can to help out our friends and family during this time. Yet, the group of people that shouldn't be forgotten are small business owners. Small business owners like food truck owners or people who sell water on the street are essential for all of us, even if we don't patronize them as customers. These kinds of people make the world go round, so to speak. Some of these people have invested everything in their business only to have their business or their own homes damaged or destroyed by natural disasters. It's a truly sad thing, so I've been thinking lately that we should be supporting more local businesses just like those who helped my own father's business a long time ago when trouble came around.

Buying a meal or even just a can of soda can go a long way for small businesses. Water for construction workers or sharing a snack with them is the simplest act of kindness. Donating, purchasing, or simply wishing them luck when you've got no money can lift people's spirits.

Share the love.
