I am on a fast bus on the road to STEEMFest right now and so happy to be here. I had a rough start getting out of my condo. My luggage is too heavy and my normal 20 minute walk took 50 minutes. I had to keep stopping to catch my breath, and my wrists are sore as can be now.
Then all lifts and escalators I needed to use were broken at the LRT! All of them!!!
Luckily the people of Malaysia will help me before I even look to see if I have someone likely looking to ask.
But still I was drenched in sweat and panting when I finally got on the LRT. Even if people carried my luggage up, I still had to walk myself up.
Here is some 25 cent watermelon I bought on the way and that restored my health. You are not supposed to eat on the train but this went fast.
No photos until I got the main TBS station for buses to everywhere. It's crowded at the 60 ticket windows at 9 pm.
I just stood here and gawked a bit since I did not want to drag my luggage around more than I had to.
So many kids in SE Asia compared to the west.
When I got to my gate this is where I had to go for the bathroom at a different gate. I pressed the lock button to let myself in. Security is not an issue in a bus station here, I have found.
Just a shot I like.
I know to look for this in Malaysia now before going to a stall. Not as common in Thailand.
And the treats were cheap even though we we at the gate! I will make a market friday post for all of the good looking food I did not buy because I had food I bought already in my local area.
And now on this half empty bus, I have an operating charger! Oh happy day! I will be able to get everything charged before I wander around in Hat Yai tomorrow morning.
I have another large water bottle too. This is part of the heaviness of my luggage, and will deplete. This will get me through until morning.
And we are moving. You can see the reflection of my laptop screen.
We are like a bat out of hell. This driver is in a hurry.
