THE LEAD UP...
I'm really not the most technical person, so I'll do my best here....but i am passionate. Passionate about community, passionate about family and love. Passionate about freedom and liberty. Because of my love for these things, i homeschool my son. I want him to have his own understanding of the world as he interprets it and for him to have a set of moral values that align with the positive side of our vibrational existence. And there are a lot of people out there now who(for their own reasons) also have decided to homeschool/unschool their children. As politics, mass violence, poor educational quality among other things, creep into our public school systems more and more parents are making the changes and sacrifices needed to ensure their kids are safe and actually learning.
I expect this number to continue to rise steeply in the coming years in light of our current direction in a worldwide scale.
THE PROBLEM....
For those who are free to homeschool/unschool are afforded a great opportunity for their children to succeed, often times there are requirements set about by the local governments. Most, if not all, pertain to keeping a permanent record concerning the amount of time the child(ren) are being educated. This record must be maintained and in many places must be made available upon request of the government....
For many this record will serve as the most important document in the children's life concerning their ability to become successful. It alone has the power to determine college eligibility in some areas. And even a highschool diploma in other areas. This is something that you NEVER want to lose!!

But to create a record that can NEVER be destroyed...is that even possible?

THE SOLUTION...
"THE DOER EDUCATION TRACKER"(name subject to change), combined with the amazing immutable, nonbannable Steem block chain will make this very serious fear a thing of the past.
THE PLAN...
I am currently working with a Dev to begin writing the code to set this in motion.(Mr Sahid Miller) I am receiving input and advice from a small group of homeschoolers here on Steemit. They are @homeeders. And are a wonderful group of people who love our community.
We will use a web based UI to simplify the time recordings and they will be save our chain for each of our users. We will also be creating a quick and easy way of pulling these records(in part or in whole) for the user. I also have plans to grow this even larger(especially once SMTs hit).
But....one step at a time. We will first get a beta program up and running and begin testing. We will get bug testing and user input on suggestions and such and hopefully be at a functional live version shortly after.
Sorry i can't supply even more information, as I just started working with the Dev a couple days ago and this is a very young venture. Plus as I said, I'm not the tech guy...I'm the passion guy.😁

Thanks for creating an opportunity to showcase what Steem is made of and allow it's real world uses be highlighted. It will help us all in the long run and creates yet another huge possibility for growing our great community here.
