RE: Just Another Crude and Desperate Painting

in #bilpcoin2 months ago

It’s very lonely on this platform

I see you gave up a couple years ago. I know the feeling. It does get better. Your art is compelling.

At first this one told me a story of parent and child beasts, then I saw the third pair of eyes. Now I hear a story of layered beings, all connected, turning round the sun. I love the colors, and how you slather on paint real thick for the smaller beast - I want to pet him. He's cute. Or should I say They are cute?

Then there's the title of the painting. I'm baffled by that. And by the title of the post. Desperate? Why are you feeling desperate?

I think I like your interpretation best, and it’s close to my thinking:)
Thank you for the kind words.
Actually, I wear “crude” as a badge of honor. I feel at home with naivety. It’s my favorite way to paint. The “desperate” part fits my political personality, in that I’m a bit hyperactive with a heavy dose of social justice genes. That justice rarely comes to the fore, which keeps me in a state of near-constant desperation.
But in a good way:) Sometimes the paintings (and writings) are rash and extreme. Okay with me. I gotta live with this guy:) Thanks again!

Thanks for the explanation. Crude and Desperate are both excellent words, with drive, vigor and spirit. Do you know anything about this? Talk about crude and desperate, I'm thinking of doing it.
