Why cannabis marketing should stay away from teens.

On Twitter, a picture of a teenager doing a complicated dance move while holding what is a very likely a joint is causing a bit of a stir. Deadline reports that Trippie Redd of the rap group Odd Future posted the photo, which elicited responses ranging from the gleefully horrified to the heavily appalled (I think there are even trolls in there somewhere). As one tweeter said, "Ignoring where it is a goodie is checked in a @person could not in good conscience do it." When it comes to marketing cannabis products and using celebrities, trying to appeal to teens is a smart idea, but valuing their judgment about a marijuana photo is not.
The context in which teens watch television, listen to radio stations, read newspapers, and look up online topics is full of potentially dubious information flowing thick and fast. Facebook has hundreds of millions of potentially teenage "friends"
