A crypto friend captured this image, its like the Raccoon is at the door negotiating terms of agreement to be let in back inside. This ringed tail and facial mask nocturnal animal has slowly found its way on the pet list, some families now owns Raccoon alongside with popular Dogs and Cats.
Dexterous they are, the wild ones often wrestle and tussle with cats and sometimes dogs to salvage food out of waste bins or even stealing from inside kitchens and stores. I guess that's when the facial mask comes in handy, like a house burglar hiding his or her identity, Raccoons are notorious house burglars as well.
Biological Facts
Wikipedia described them as procyonid(A new world sort of new species of animals) and the Raccoon is largest of these family, having a body length of 40 to 70 cm (16 to 28 in) and a body weight of 5 to 26 kg (11 to 57 lb). Their underfur coats protect them in Cold weathers and their advanced evolutionary instincts makes them adapt so fast, that is they could survive in the wild and in urban settlements.
Most wild animals can't cope with urbanization, the noise and pollution from the busy city life will put them all in risk if extinction, but this Ringed tail animal have been known to survive in cities, as an Omnivore, eating different percentage of plant and animals to survive e.g. eating about 40% invertebrates, 33% plants, and 27% vertebrates.
Raccoons are not in harms way, they ain't endangered species so be sure to always see them in your alley, backyard, your turf, your verandahs or most likely your kitchen!
