Since I started down this road of positive living each day has become more rewarding, more inspired and more surprising with greatness.
I do not often talk about truly personal stuff especially when it comes to my wife. But with the wonderful thing that happened yesterday I have to put it all into context. Some of my friends here on Hive know the story. I will keep it to the point as my wife does not like me talking about it publicly.
She got diagnosed with bowl cancer in June of 2014. Yes we are almost to the 8 year mark of survival. To make a long story short, it went from there to her liver, then to her lungs. That is the battle now. Bowl cancer cells in her lungs.
You are wondering what this has to be with being positive? As some of you know my employer bought Cardone University training for all its employees. And I embraced it 100 percent. It was and is life changing for me. It empowered me into the positive person I am now, the one you see in these blog posts and videos. It was the catalyst I needed at the right time in life.
To get to the point of this story, lol, I was working away at work yesterday and it was extremely busy. I seem my direct phone line lighting up, had to let it go to voice mail, then my email notification starting popping up on my screen and the receptionist brought me over a phone message. To call Vanessa it Cardone University.
I had no idea what was going on, I do know that I am the number one person of embarrassing and training at my employer for the course. Anyway I phoned her back, man she is always so positive and excited, she had a 'mystery' for me. What in the world? She gave me a local phone number to call to continue with mystery. So I called the number and the cryptic person on the other end asked if they could make a delivery to my home. So I responded my wife was home. At this point I new something good, something positive was going to happen. What I had no idea.
My assumption is that my General Manger knowing what my wife and I have been battling over the last almost eight years had a discussion with Vanessa. How I embarrassed my training and I deserved some positivity. And the reward was a brighten my better halfs day up with beautiful flowers.
My wife was floored and I am still floored.
The moral of the story: If you are positive, force yourself to be positive, working your fracking ass off no matter what life throws at you, great things will come your way.
