The taxis in NYC you pay a combination of per mile and per minute so I generally try and avoid taxis when the streets are busy its quicker and cheaper to walk often LOL
Off the restaurants i have been to this past weekor two, this one was the worst for wait times and we were in early so it wasnt even that busy to be honets
I may not be !DERANGED but I share deranged tokens, similarly I don't drink !BEER anymore
No wonder they drive so slow - maybe they even produce the traffic jams to earn more money ;) lol
Yeah, I know such restaurants too, and usually they see me only once if it is obvious that they are only lazy and not busy.

The traffic at peak times in the city is crazy, sat walking from 1st Ave up to 7th on 42nd street in peak times I walk quicker than the traffic flows, that was the case yesterday when I was running late to get to the lawyers i walked as it was quicker

in days of old there was !COFFEEA and !BEER, which is kind of !DERANGED when you think about it
I cannot understand why they still drive by car when the traffic is so slow and they sit for such a long time in their vehicle, but I do not need to understand everything ;) lol
If I would work in such a big town I would also walk or go by train, that's for sure, and when you walk you can see so much more and beautiful things, as you always show us in your posts 🙂

I know I cannot understand that, to me its crazy, I have seen people get the bus for only one or two stops, paying $2.75 to go that short a distance and slower than walking is !DERANGED i think

I always try to use the fastest means of transportation, and if my feet are the fastest, then of course I use my feet, and also if I have enough time I prefer to walk.

I tend to think its more about laziness, or perhaps more having an issue with walking anywhere, many hate walking here, I had a neighbour when I lived in Queens when I first got here, he would drive literally 500 Feet to the gym each morning and then drive home after his workout, seems so !DERANGED to me
That's about 150 meters - so, if he would live in my apartment he would need a car to drive to the parking space to the car, because we park where we find an empty parking space, and sometimes it's more than a 500 feet walk ;) lol
Some people are really !DERANGED with or without a !BEER 😉
Ohh yeah maybe thats why he was living ina house so he did not have to walk too far to his car LOL
