Na počátku byla tma. Počátek nikdo z nás nezažil, takže s tou tmou to nemusí být úplně pravda. Je jen na nás, abychom nezažili ani konec. Budou si příští generace říkat, že byla na počátku tma, nebo si budou říkat o velké katastrofě?
In the beginning it was dark. None of us experienced the beginning, so it may not be true with the darkness. It is up to us not to experience the end. Will the next generation think that it was dark at the beginning, or will they think of a major disaster?
I had a meeting today in the city and it corresponds to the number of steps found. After everything was done, I had some time to walk through the city. I used this free time and went to see two local specialties.
The first peculiarity is the vicious stone.
It is located near the Samson Fountain on the square in České Budějovice. I will not show you the photo, because these days there are selling stands of Advent marketplace.
It is said that whoever stepped on it does not hit home and if it is a foreigner (not a local citizen), it will often return to these places. Something about the rumor will be true. When I first visited České Budějovice as a little boy (1969), I accidentally (or out of curiosity?) Stepped on the stone. In the summer it was exactly 33 years since I moved from Moravia to Budweis. I often find myself in Budejovice square and try to avoid the stray stone :-)
The second peculiarity is the Frog.
To make it clear. It is a Stone Frog and you will not find it on the ground as it would fit the orderly frog. If you visit České Budějovice and want to see the Frog, you must go to Piarist Square and raise your eyes to the sky. The frog is located on the wall of a monastery church from the thirteenth century. Like the vicious stone, the Frog has its traditional mess.
It is said that when the Frog climbs to the roof of the church, the end of the world will come. If you look at the photo, you will find that there is not much to her roof. It's one meter from the headline.
Měl jsem dnes nějaké jednání ve městě a tomu i odpovídá počet nachozených kroků. Po vyřízení všech záležitostí mi zůstalo trochu času na procházku městem. Využil jsem tento volný čas a zašel se podívat na dvě místní zvláštnosti.
Tou první zvláštností je bludný kámen.
Nachází se v sousedství Samsonovy kašny na náměstí v Českých Budějovicích. Fotku vám neukážu, protože v těchto dnech tam stojí prodejní stánky adventního tržiště.
O tomto kameni se traduje, že kdo na něj šlápne, netrefí domů a pokud je to cizinec (ne místní občan), bude se na tato místa často vracet. Něco na té pověsti bude pravdivého. Když jsem poprvé navštívil České Budějovice jako malý chlapec (1969), nedopatřením (nebo ze zvědavosti?) jsem na ten kámen šlápl. V létě to bylo přesně 33 let, co jsem se přistěhoval z Moravy do Budějovic. Na budějovickém náměstí se vyskytuji dost často a snažím se bludnému kameni vždy vyhnout :-)
Druhá zvláštnost je Žába.
Abych to upřesnil. Je to Kamenná žába a nenajdete ji na zemi, jak by se na spořádanou žábu slušelo. Pokud navštívíte České Budějovice a budete chtít Žábu vidět, musíte se vypravit na Piaristické náměstí a pozvednout svůj zrak k obloze. Žába se nachází na zdi klášterního kostela ze třináctého století. Stejně jako bludný kámen, má i Žába svou tradiční zkazku.
Traduje se, že až Žába vyleze na střechu kostela, nastane konec světa. Když se podíváte na fotku, zjistíte, že jí ke střeše mnoho neschází. Je to ten jeden metr z titulku.
