You think by posting and upvoting friends here on steemit, you’re gonne make lots of money…

Well, you know what…

Dream on!
If you really want to be rich, and I mean, really really rich… you better do like I did…
You get up early… (I know, that hurts…)
And you go to the market…
Once you’re there, you steal a lot of empty crates… c’mon, c’mon, don’t be shy, just do it. You want plenty of money… no… yes… than just do it.

And here it comes… once at home, you rearrange your empty crates just like on the picture…
Now invent a story about your new construction (yep, that’s your part, I won’t do that job for you…)
Make it a long story… with a lot of difficult words… maybe even a bit supernatural… you could tell you heard voices, that always works…
And then…
Then…
Change your name to something fancy and sell that sh*t to a museum!

What? You don’t believe me?
Well, where do you think I took that shot above? Yep, indeed, in a museum of contemporary ART…
Really, you don’t wanna know how much I charged for it… it’s just insane 😊

Sounds good..... well except that getting up early thing. Is that a requirement ??
Seems like night time would be a better time to pinch the crates. O.o
I think I may be a little !DERANGED but I'm going to have to try this.
Just need to learn some 5 syllable words and think up a pretentious name and I'm set. Well except for that morning thing..... are you sure about that, could be a deal breaker.

Well, getting up early would not be a problem - wake me at three and I get up ;) but I would have a problem to have such an idea ... and then even sell it. I might even have such ideas sometimes, and sometimes even worse when I have too many !BEER but I would never think of making money out of such !DERANGED 💩 ... but maybe the artist is well known and $trdo 😉

From my side, it's all calm. The attackers have been throwing a few more flags at me, though. This platform is like that: one mistake and they'll crucify you for years to come, as if you're Judas.

Let's see what happens. Serious accusations and threats have been made against me... and without evidence to prove it.

One should not talk loudly about the problems in Steem. It's all love and flowers, even if you don't think so. 😁

If you ask me, these shenanigans won't allow Steem to ever be anything but a tiny niche... but you know what? Maybe it's better that way. Once Facebook became Mainstream, I started hating it and eventually abandoned it altogether.

Yeah… I've known artists who created that kind of thing. In one starving artists group from back in the day (when I was in art school), we had this one guy whose paintings sold for top dollar no matter what the medium, content, or size. We joked he could slap anything on the wall with his signature and someone would buy it. He decided to put it the test. He stretched a 6 x 4.5 foot canvas, cobbled together a wood box that was about a foot tall from 1x4s with a door made of plywood, slapped another little block of wood on it for a handled, attached it in an offset position on the canvas, and painted the whole thing white. He put a price tag of $5K on it – remember, this was a student starving artists exhibit in the early 1980s. No one else's work in the exhibit was more than $1500 (and that was sculpture).

Yes. Someone actually bought it.

I remember talking to one of my art teachers about this and it seems there's always someone like this who can sell anything. He said often they don't keep making art. That they go into other fields and make tons of money... it was never about the art in many examples.The thing that's disappointing to me is how many people attack and dismiss all art they don't like or understand as being a scam. I really shouldn't comment about it because it's too big a topic for me to put into words.

Yeah, we all know someone who's more into making money than creating Art for its own sake. There are also buyers who are only investing in artworks for the possible future returns. I've seen people buy something they would never hang in their homes because they thought they could turn a profit off of it.

But, that guy was in it for the Art. He was thoroughly disgusted by the whole episode. He took the money… I mean, he was still a starving art student. But, he had bet money that canvas wouldn't sell.

Whew... yes, that deep need.

If i don't do it i go totally crazy. Depression, anxiety, whatever the latest popular diagnosis is. The making money doesn't even calculate in. And then i end up with a life of poverty and isolation thinking there's something wrong with me. This is too much info... i did have hopes of even a small income from steemit. I unwisely bought steem when it was over $5 dollars. I might break even in 2 or 3 years. It's just relentless the time effort and cost to make art and even photography. Getting little to nothing in return and getting judged by people at the same time. I suppose the safety valve is just saying something "i'm not an artist i'm just having fun and meeting people... Nothing wrong there :)
