My home in the hills has many surrounding sites which are worth a visit. There is a famous temple called Ekveera Temple which I can see on the hill from my home. It looks far but then since the time I have this place, it has been my wish to visit the Temple. One of my neighbors who is a local of the place told me that we could go walking here. At first, I could not believe her because it really very far, but then she told me that by road it is far but if we trek up, we can reach fast. I was instantly ready for this idea.
I wanted to leave early morning but then she had her house chores to do so by the time we left it was almost 10 and sun was over the head. It is raining now so it's not very hot and on and off it gets cloudy so with that it was comfortable with a late start also. Thankfully it was not raining on this day and that made it easy. If it would be then we would had to cancel the plan as climbing is risky, there is too much moss and it gets slippery.
When I met her, I could not believe she was wearing her normal slippers and I was worried for her as to how she would climb, but then she told me not to worry, she is used to it and travels up often in her slippers. We started our journey, the first half an hour walk was straight with a little jump over the streams, and that was comfortable. The funny part was she was marching ahead and I had to really be fast to keep up with her pace. I was amazed how she was moving so swiftly.
The first one-hour flat land that we walked on, majority of it is her family land where they grow rice. If I would have this kind of land, I guess I would boast around, but she is such a simple and humble lady and so is her family. They never find any job small, with all of this also they do caretakers job of many villas in my society.

I walked comfortably till here, now the real challenge was starting that was to start climbing up. Let me continue the rest of the journey tomorrow.
