Gods Unchained - Nature SUPER BEAST

Greetings Steemians,

I'm getting more excited about Gods Unchained everyday.

I took a break over the weekend and most of the week, but got back into playing last night. What I noticed was that the core pack cards had been reset. (poof, vanished)

This was expected due to the game being in beta and the developers being transparent about this. Some people were a little depressed about it, and if you had taken the time to build specific decks around these core cards, then it is understandable to a degree.

Genesis packs are no more, and card activation is in progress currently.

That is pretty nice of the developers, as gas prices are not cheap. They raked in 33,333 ETH with these packs, (which sold out completely) and prior to this received 15 million dollars worth of investments for development. Holy smokes!

I'm really happy I had the foresight to grab some packs, and if I happen to sell any of my Genesis cards, I'll be upping my STEEM POWER with the profits.

I had sent out a little loose Steem previously to acquire packs, and some people frown pretty heavily on sending Steem out. Well, my primary crypto is Steem, and whenever I send Steem out, my long term objective is to make gains where I see opportunity in other cryptos, and then convert back over to Steem. To me this is pretty logical, instead of relying solely on Steem post rewards and curation rewards alone.

Now stating I had "foresight" really means nothing. We have no clue what crypto is going to do in the long haul, but my intuition tells me this was a smart move indeed.

Now let's talk about the fact that I am a GU Nature SUPER BEAST!

Thanks to @snook, I am now UNSTOPPABLE. She gave me a few tips, and now no one is able to beat me!

Ok, I'm totally fibbing... I still lose about 9 out of every 10 games, but this is not a simple game at all. Strategy is very important, and building a proper deck might be even more important in some aspects.

The key to consistent winning from what I am starting to see, is "balance". There is a little luck involved with how your cards fall, and if you do not work cards that compliment one another, and choose the proper God Power for the match, you might find yourself crushed big time.

I love this aspect, perhaps because I am a chess player. I like strategic "thinking" games.

The idea that I might be able to make some profits/rewards out of a game is icing on the cake. These days, I don't think completely in terms of enjoyment. I've been pretty broke most of my life, but still like to do things that give a sense of enjoyment, so finding a balance between something that is enjoyable, yet might bring some financial gains in the future is a balance I find nice. It might sound a little illogical to some, but honestly I am pretty tired of being poor. So that is that.

I'm digressing a bit..

Here is the deck I am currently working with:

https://unchainedstats.com/deck/180982/

I'm not sure if this is a great deck or not, but I am starting to win a bit more and will be tweaking this deck to find balance. Currently, if these cards don't fall just right I get whooped pretty hard. I'll get there though, I'm confident.

Speaking of balance, that is something I have been trying to find in my life lately as well. This is more personal talk than GU talk, but there is a relation.

I struggle with sleep irregularity issues, and anxiety problems sometimes. I sometimes neglect or avoid important things in my life.

Lately I have been working very hard to maintain a sense of balance. Getting to sleep at a reasonable hour, and waking up every morning at the same time. This has been going good for about a week now, and I force myself to not take naps during the day. This is helping me maintain a schedule as well.

When I get up I do some "Steem stuff." (read some posts, curate a bit, try to make a post..) Then I focus on personal things for a while that I feel are important, and towards bed time I like to wind down with something that gives me enjoyment, like Gods Unchained!

Balance is important in life, and if we fail to take care of our personal/emotional/physical well being, then negativity will manifest in all types of ways.

With hardships I am going through (and have been going through) I am forcing myself to REMAIN POSITIVE! (and also sending these vibes out to people I love, humanity, and the universe itself.)

Anyone who is struggling to find balance or happiness, hang in there. Things will be alright. You're here for a reason, and you have a purpose.

It's not profitable unless I make my investment back.
It is enjoyable anyway, hopefully I will make back investment and some profit.
