Conversion Tracking - What Is That?

So yesteday we looked at creating your Lead Capture Pages, Lead Capture Pages - How To Set Them Up, and today we will be looking at conversion tracking.

The reason for tracking this is because we want to know what traffic and what LCP's are giving us the best results, the most subscribers to your list with the least amount of work basically.

For this to work you will also need to create a Thank You Page, where your subscribers are taken after they have confirmed their subscription to your list, and maybe you also want to set up a page that encourages them to confirm it too, I have done that myself and are tracking both those points.

The screenshots below shows both of my Thank You Pages for the I Am Alive ebook.

These are created with the LCP Buillder in ClickTrackProfit and I use LeadsLeap for my conversion tracking.

Inside of LeadsLeap go to Track Links which you find in the menu, and then add the link to your LCP in the field and click on Add Now to create a tracking link, also adjust the settings to your liking.

Then you see a button with a small symbol on it next to both the Convert A and Convert B stats, and if you have set up both Thank You Pages add the code you get by clicking the button next to Convert A to your first Thank You Page, then the code for Convert B to the second one.

You add that code by opening up the editor for that page in the LCP Builder, then click on HTML which is right next to the Save button, and then scroll all the way down and add it at the end, and then click Save and Save to save it all.

Next you also need to add the links to your Thank You Pages in your autoresponder so it knows to send your subscribers there.

In TrafficWave go to Camppaign Overview and click on Campaign Profile for your campaign and then select Landing Page Urls, and then add your first Thank You Page where you ask them to confirm their email to the field Subscription Landing URL, and the second one to Confirmation Landing URL, just like I have done in the screenshot below.

Now go to LeadsLeap and copy your tracking link, and also view their intructions that you get when clicking the Copy button right next to it, there you will see how to add a small part at the end for each traffic source that you share the link to.

Now you are tracking the performance of your traffic and of your Lead Capture Pages, use that information to focus your energy on the traffic sources and the LCP's where you get the best results, and good luck building your list.
