39 At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, 40 where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! 43 But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

The Good News of God reveals his presence in the most common things of human life in the previous fragment here the evangelist Luke details Mary's visit to Elizabeth, two women who at that time of the visit help each other. It is a visit of joy and joy for the pregnancy of both, with two children still in their womb in which is the presence of God.
Elizabeth proclaims "Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her". It is Elizabeth's praise to Mary and Luke reminds the communities: to believe in the Word of God, because the Word of God has the It is the creative Word that engenders life in the bosom of the virgin, in the bosom of the poor people who welcome it with faith.
Mary and Elizabeth already knew each other. And yet, in this encounter, they discover, one in the other, a mystery that they did not yet know and that filled them with great joy. Today we also find people who surprise us with the wisdom they possess and with the testimony of faith they give us. So we must ask ourselves: What prevents me from discovering and living the joy of God's presence in our life?
The attitude of Mary before the Word expresses the ideal that the evangelist Luke wants to communicate to the first Christian communities and that with a message that transcends until our days: not to close themselves in, but to get out of ostracism, to be attentive to the concrete needs of people, and try to help others as needed.
