What is Heavy Metal?

At Wikipedia they say:

Heavy metal (or simply metal or heavy rock) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s. I don't care what criticism they got in the past nor do I care about the over usage of green screen effects and the somewhat crappy late 90s Super Nintendo- donkey- kong- country- style 3D CGI Graphics in this video. I'm mesmerized by everything in this and I love it and I always will.
